A Symphony of Life Press Release
Author’s Remarks at the September 29, 2013 Book Signing
Dear friends,
Thank you very much for being here today to support the launch of my new book, A Symphony of Life. I am pleased and honored to be here with you to sign this book, which is a social historical auto biography, dedicated to my grand children and future generations. For many years, I have been motivated and encouraged by my colleagues, friends and former students, who are scattered around the world to write this book. This book required me to study and research many resources and I am happy that finally I could finish and publish it after 15 years.
I have been faced with many adversities and obstacles in my life. In this book, I have tried to show my personal approach that I have adopted throughout my life in coping with and overcoming every adversity through using the power of education. Education has been the cornerstone in my life and its importance has been reinforced since the first grade in school in our book by the sentence of the great Persian poem of Ferdowsi ‘Tavana bovad harkedanabovad”, which means education is power. For this reason, I am donating the royalties from this book to the scholarship fund at the George Mason University College of Education and Human Development graduate program for Early Childhood Education.
Finally, I would like to thank you all sincerely again, with special thanks to the National University of Iran Alumni and Faculty (NUIAF) and Mrs. Abbey Ansari Heravi for her kind hospitality in offering her restaurants for this event today.
